Introduction to colour and cutting Patchwork

£55.00

Back to Basics – complete beginners, join the colourful world of patchwork!

Would you love to have a go at Patchwork, but don’t know where to start?

Colour is one of the most exciting areas of quilt making, but it is also the area which can cause the most uncertainty.
In this workshop we will look at the theory of the colour wheel which can then be used in many projects from patchwork, knitting and crochet to your own home decor!

We will then learn to use a rotary cutter, measure and make a simple 9 patch block from your own choice of colours. Sewing machines provided.

Week One we will look at the theory of colour and make your own colour wheel to use as a guide with future projects.
Week Two you will use a rotary cutter to make a 9 patch block which can then be made into a simple cushion, table runner or as the start for your first big project.
Places are limited to 4 people
