Why not master all the basics of crochet in this two and a half hour complete beginners course (no previous experience necessary). Helen from Woolly Chic will show you how to get to grips with the hook and yarn, and how to hold the yarn and crochet hook, make chain stitches and treble crochet stitches and crochet a granny square.
We will show you double crochet, treble crochet, simple pattern reading and finishing techniques. At the end of the course you’ll take away some small granny square that you will have made.

Course Outline:

The Granny Square workshop is an ideal introduction to crochet and is suitable for complete beginners, focusing on treble crochet, you’ll learn this popular stitch which forms the basis of many patterns, practising by making a traditional ‘granny’ square.
We will show you different types of yarn and hooks, you will learn how to hold the yarn and crochet hook, make chain stitches and treble crochet stitches and crochet a granny square.

We will show you how to change colours and discuss the different techniques to join your squares.

LEVEL: Complete beginner
CLASS SIZE: 6 max
DURATION: 2.5 hours

All materials, a hook and full written instructions will be given to each participant so you can carry on making more starter projects when you get home.
