This technique involves using a special barbed needle to repeatedly poke wool fibres, tangling them together. It’s a relatively easy craft to pick up, requiring only a few basic materials and a bit of patience. Starting with simple shapes and gradually building skills this workshop is perfect for beginners.
In this Workshop you will learn the technique to make a Christmas Bauble
You will use wool roving (wool that hasn’t been spun into yarn), felting needles (available in different gauges, with coarser needles for initial shaping and finer needles for detail), a felting surface (like a foam pad or brush), and optionally, finger guards.
Needle felting can be a relaxing and rewarding craft. Don’t be afraid to experiment and have fun.
